Staying on St. Thomas?

Please take the ferry one hour before your tour — we'll pick you up at the dock in Cruz Bay.

Staying on St. John?

Simply call us at (340) 725-0545 for directions or assistance getting to our location at Union Road B, St. John, VI 00830, a few minutes from the Cruz Bay ferry dock.

Ferry Helper: Red Hook → Cruz Bay

The passenger ferry from Red Hook, St. Thomas runs about every hour, crossing in about 15 minutes (adult fare about $8 one way plus a small fuel surcharge; $4 per bag). Pick your tour time and we'll tell you which boat to catch.

Red Hook departuresHourly on the hour, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, then 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM. Return boats leave Cruz Bay hourly on the hour until 9:00 PM, then 11:00 PM.

Charlotte Amalie (downtown)Seasonal and currently paused (through Oct 31, 2026). When running, the crossing is about 45 minutes; otherwise taxi to Red Hook.

Cruise ship guestsTaxi to Red Hook takes 25–35 minutes from the piers. Allow 2 hours door to dock, and check your all-aboard time for the ride back.

Schedules change seasonally. Confirm times with Varlack Ventures, Transportation Services of St. John, or VInow ferry schedules or VI Department of Public Works.

Cancellations

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
